ModeratorAs for Libra – and I suppose this is the question you posted on the Forum – one thing to bear in mind is that it is the gateway to the higher hemisphere. It is also the location in the circle of 12 of the 4.5 of the Gnostic Circle. So, it is a critical passage, no doubt.
TMC demonstrates how inertia works (for all the signs) and in Libra to ‘delaying tactic’ would be externalisation: seeking the outer companion, whereas at this point and in pursuit of the higher things, internalisation begins here. It culminates in Capricorn where one enter the inner Mountain. The four Cardinal Points are always crucial in the 12-part journey on the initiate’s path. For the 12 circle these would be equivalent to the ‘shock’ point of the 9 circle. In the circle divided into 9 the angles of the Sacred Triangle are the points where corrections occur to keep you on course as it were and not go flying off (into space?) and lose your way. It is a privilege in life to embark upon an initiatic journey through the Gnostic Circle, not open to everyone. This requires a certain awareness, a conscious participation. Therefore it is not just another astrological tool. Far from it. The ultimate goal is to BECOME THE CIRCLE, to grow into it, or to be transformed ultimately into the Gnostic Being. This may take many revolutions through the Gnostic Circle, perhaps through various lifetimes, but once consciously undertaken, one has no choice. The only choice you have is to become more and more conscious and collaborative, offering less resistance. The things of the lower hemisphere – as disconnected from the higher, isolated and orbiting the ego – no longer are traps by aids. That is, not subject to the pull of Inertia.

ModeratorI have to post a comment here.
First I need to state that much of Malhorta’s writings seem to me to fan the fires that should rather be put out. He fans the fires of parochialism, based on simple claims and what must be viewed as mere rhetoric. Hinduism is great, it is believed and proclaimed – minus of course the caste problem that has to be re-thought. This is the basis of the current thinking, and then he goes on to claim that western scholars come to India to steal ideas from unknowing yogis that are naïve and fall into this trap.
This is patently absurd – not the theft and plagiarism but the implied questioning of the state of consciousness of the yogis themselves. Far from being naïve and unsuspecting, they follow the ancient tradition that you can, even if must, cast pearls to swine; but they will never get to the secret Rahasya without proper preparation, guidance and initiation. So, it makes little difference either way. What is needed is then for someone to come along and expose the lack of preparation these researchers demonstrate. And, above all what that real Secret Rahasya might be in contemporary society.
Finally, returning to the topic of this review, we sent the Ganga Monograph to Swarajya but without even an acknowledge receipt. Clearly the document went way over the heads of the editors. For the fact is that if you want to make the Tradition LIVING, you have to show itapplicable today and not keep harping on a past that, for all practical purposes, is dead. It is not Sanskrit that is dead – it is the fact that there is no one around to appreciate the deeper significance and content of the myths and symbolism, as Sri Aurobindo has done in The Secret of the Veda. But how many appreciate his work on the Veda? He is not even mentioned in this context, and emphasis is on his nationalism above all else.
Certainly I have done this in the Ganga monograph. In just 27 pages I have removed the stigma of superstition and revealed and entirely undisclosed dimension to the myth of Ganga’s descent applicable today. But not even an acknowledgement… And yet pages are filled with a review of Malhorta’s harangue that simply compounds the problem.
It is the new APPLIED cosmology that can revitalise the Sanatana Dharma. Not more vacuous words and condemnations born of the complexes colonialism and conquests have inflicted. Forget the academics! Bring life back to the Dharma – if you can.
Thank God that at ACC we do just that.

ModeratorWhat I told you last evening regarding Capricorn, the Mountain and contemporary India was specifically that India must TAKE POSSESSION OF HER DESTINY. This is what the Capricon initiation means. It is what happened to me in 1971, and certainly happened to Sri Aurobindo and the Mother at some point early in their yogic lives. The 10th Chapter of The Magical Carousel explains what I mean when the chidren meet the Time-Spirit who has the Book of Life and reads their ‘duty’ or Dharma as being the repository of their true identity/destiny. India has to earn her Capricorn-hood. That has certainly not happened yet. Will it? Thea

ModeratorI believe that your questions are valid because this is what is most on people’s minds – the socio-politico-economic agendas. The point is we have to follow these movements through, back through time and get to the root of the primordial problems that cause the different ideologies and isms to surface at later dates. In fact it would be safe to say that most of the issues you mention are all rooted in ideological difference. People keep killing each other, or abusing the Earth mercilessly because they belief, which are usually valid for a day. The idea is to locate the underlying ‘agenda’, or the destiny of the Earth and the evolving species at this point in time.
Things started to really deteriorate during the Age of Pisces when the exclusivist religions came to the fore and dominated the world agenda for many centuries. What we witness now is a disintegration of that agenda because it has brought us to the brink of extinction – if we continue along the present lines. I do not mean just global warming; that is the smallest part of the problem for now. There are long-standing abuses that we have inflicted on the planet, of an accumulative nature. We could safely say that this attitude became firmly established with the rising supremacy of the Abrahamic religions, based on the Book – people of the Book so called. It is stated in the Bible that man must dominate nature, that it is his right to do so. With that came the divine sanction to dominate woman since both go hand-in-hand. Also pari passu with the increasing subjugation of woman came the degeneration of the environment. So, to answer one question, improvement of the environment has to go along with our approach to Woman, and by consequence to Nature. It will not happen otherwise.
At the bottom of the subjugation of Woman lies the spiritual positioning that gather strength during the last millennium of a quest for heaven within religious ranks, and in India a quest for otherworldliness. If you follow the movement to its foundation, you will see that the entire global was afflicted with the same abusive attitude to Nature and Woman. It was global – and we pay for it through global warming. So clear, so connected. It is important to note that no one in India holds this view. For them the spirituality currently in practice is eternal and unchanging – and it has always been this way. But, of course, it wasn’t. We do not find this approach in the Rig Veda. It was an outcome of the spirituality that was deeply influenced by the giant realisers such as Gautam the Buddha. But it is hard for people to see that this was the Indian response to the Piscean Wave, as I call it. Sri Aurobindo is the only realiser to lay emphasis on an Earthly goal, or the Life Divine as he called. Indeed, the Golden Age or Satya Yuga of the Hindus was clearly an Earth-oriented goal.
Regarding the Makar Sankranti and the importance of establishing the correct time for its celebration, I believe others can answer that question since I have other things on my plate for now. But this is a situation pertinent to India – and through India for the rest of the world. It is because of India’s special role as centre-soul of the Earth. Therefore she has an obligation, more so than any other civilisation – to get the correct cosmic connection established. This has to do with the appearances of the Vishnu Avatars.
As for ISIS, the abiding goal of global Islam is to re-gain a supremacy that was almost total in the last Age but failed ultimately. It is the reason for the on-going problems between India and Pakistan. The latter feels that there was a legitimate conquest by the Islamic invaders and that the territory gained should be still theirs. My sense is that this ambition exceeded just Kashmir and that wherever there was Mogul rule in the subcontinent should be considered still theirs. But this is just my view of the situation. Nonetheless, we see it playing itself out across the global openly now through ISIS. The point is these are ideological battles going on. The Vedic poise being all-embracing, as most of paganism was, is what has to be re-established. For too long we have been seeking to impose exclusivism in one form or another, which is contrary to the purpose of the Earth in the planetary family: diversity is the creed, within an all-embracing unity. Whoever can achieved that factually is destined to lead the way. Thea

ModeratorSkambha, 14.1.2016
This morning I read the article in The New Indian Express by Christophe Jaffrelot, on the latest topic to grab the headlines, Akhand Bharat. The author points out its timeless relevance to Indian/Hindu society in that the extended pre-partition map describes more than just Bharatmata (Mother India); it is, in his words, punya bhoomi, holy land. He emphasises that the land itself, its very geography is worshipped. Somehow, perhaps for political reasons exclusively, this issue has become a stick to beat Hindus with, and particularly the Rastriya Swayam Sevak (RSS), with wild allegations flying around that by clinging to this pre-Partition now non-existent map, the RSS is revealing its ‘Hitlerean’ bent!
But the RSS is not the only organisation upholding the sanctity of Akhand Bharat. I am producing here two photos dating from 21 February 1952 in which we see the Mother (of Pondicherry) seated before this very Akhand Bharat. In one she sits alone, in the second she is joined by the former prime minister of India, the prominent Congress leader from the South, Kamaraj, Indira Gandhi, and then another former prime minister Shastri. None seem to be bothered by the map of undivided India; as well this confirms what the author states that it is a very ancient concept in existence – millennia before the RSS came into being.
I have connected the map to an even more ancient source: the tropical zodiac’s tenth astrological sign, Capricorn, known as Makar in India; and throughout the world it is considered India’s astrological ruling sign. This is conclusive proof that the concept has roots that go far deeper than contemporary political or other platforms. Moreover, if we realise thatthe entire destiny of India is written in this tenth sign and can be read by anyone who cares to investigate the matter in depth – or else everything I have written and published on this subject for the past four decades, there can be no doubt that Akhand Bharat and the geography are one and that Capricorn sanctifies the area that its glyph covers with such astonishing precision.
More recently I published a monograph on the sacred Ganga (Aeon Centre of Cosmology, 2015). Most treasured of all the Puranic deities, and certainly the most sacred river on Earth that further confirms the connection and the validity of considering this area holy and it IS India, the glyph does indeed define the land; beyond that it tells us why this is so special and why it will outlast any attempts to cut it in pieces and dismember its unity. Capricorn explains why this unity exists and what it means not just for India but for the entire world.
Several days ago an English-language newspaper carried a photo of a Sadhu performing a ritual in Kolkata at the mouths of the Ganga. The by-line stated that he was preparing for the celebration of Makar Sankranti, or the entry into Capricorn which, as laid down by pundits and astronomers across India is followed unquestioningly by the entire Hindu Samaj. The date they give as that sacred-most passage is 15 January. This is disproved by astrology as practiced from ancient times and throughout the world today; yet in India pundits continue to misguide in this most essential area of spiritual and cultural life: on 15th of January we on Earth are at 23 days/degrees into the sign, and far from its true beginning.
This flies in the face of the Epics as well as traditional astrology. The Ganga monograph proves the point because her mouths actually fall on what would be the calendar equivalent of the true Makar Sankranti, or 0 degree Capricorn, the December Solstice. This is the only entry to Capricorn, proven by the geographical measurements of Ganga herself. More interestingly though perhaps of a more difficult nature to hold as factual proof, the idol of Ram Lalla (Lord Ram as a child) mysteriously appeared in the then Babri Majid – a structure that the conqueror Babar built in the 16th century as a symbol of conquest by first demolishing the Hindu temple that stood on the site – over the night of 22-23 December, exactly in harmony with passage into Capricorn on that 1949 December Solstice. The message was entirely lost with each political party intent only apportioning blame to others; no one could imagine that human instruments, no matter who they might have been, could have been used by the God in order to begin conveying the message that a rectification of the date was necessary by laying emphasis on the December Solstice as the real Makar Sankranti through this surreptitious manifestation. Unfortunately, the message was not heeded. Fast forward to 2013 and Ganga sets in to convey the same message more forcefully. Still resistance to the obvious prevails.
At ACC we realised some time ago that all the extraordinary revelations in my publications and on various websites on this very subject has had no impact at all, not even as simply a matter of anthropological/historic value, not to speak of the Sacred Sciences such as astrology, iconography, architecture, and so on, because no one is interested in the issue: it simply does not exist – it is what is labelled a non-issue.
What else will it take for the Samaj to wake up and in one voice demand a rectification by the pundits?

ModeratorThis image is almost identical to the diagrams I constructed for students when I was holding classes in Pondicherry. It was based on the zodiac of 12. and like this it was circles within circles, giving at the end this ‘flower’. I believe the idea was to show ‘harmony’ as the structural foundation of our system. Can’t remember now, but it might be possible that I have this somewhere in my truncks where I put the old stuff. I remember that this ‘flower’ impressed a lot of people. Present that day was Robbert Lawlor and his then wife Deborah.
It would be important to learn how this hexagonal flower was reached from the two strands of DNA we know. If you all recall, the north pole of Saturn bears a hexagon formation (someone can look up in my past messages and post it), and Saturn is the 6th planet, but also connected to the hexagon as in snowflakes – especially interesting in that it is the planet of crystallisation. ModeratorI have briefly gone through the recent exchanges between Thomas/Varuna/White Serpent and several of the members of ACC. His long post I have not studied because it falls into a category that is of little interest in the context of what this website is about – and indeed the core of the Supramental Manifestation. One weaves thousands of words about, and sometimes they amount to cogent theories – rarely, but sometimes they do; yet they lack something fundamental in my view: applicability.
Take my work as an example. Honestly, its central focus and the only thing that really interests and inspires me, is to apply the simple formula 9/6/3/0-1. Starting with The Gnostic Circle as its basic alphabet, on through The New Way series where the alphabet is used to form sentences – i.e. a greater defining – and on to everything else I have produced that forms this body of Gnosis we call the New Way, it always amounts to an exercise in applicability. Let me provide one example to demonstrate the difference with everything Thomas/Varuna/White Serpent has posted – the magnificent Rig Veda verse 1.164.48:
Twelve spokes, one wheel, navels three.
Who can comprehend this?
On it are placed together
Three hundred and sixty like pegs.
They shake not in the least. No leap of imagination is required to realise that my Map of the 12 Manifestations is a graphic display of those lines. The one circle is centremost and remains throughout the core element out of which the rest emerges when dynamism is added – that being Time. For it all to be applicable or for Time to set the wheel in motion the correct 0 point or ayanamsha becomes essential. That is where we separate the wheat from the chaff in these matters, lacking the true ayanamsha any attempt at application creates simply chaos – the opposite of what the cosmos is: Order.
When I read material such as have been recently posted I find myself immersed in chaos, a churning that takes us nowhere, as if caught in a whirlpool or a labyrinth, spinning round and round. Nothing can make sense like that, much less reveal our purpose for existence in this universal harmony.
To avoid being plunged into and imprisoned forever in a black hole of this nature, the Vishnu Avatar appears yuge-yuge, and based on his birth, his entry into Earth time, we can begin to set things right. This time around the Avatar has even given us the formula: 9/6/3/0-1. Similarly, the Mother, his co-worker, provided us with a graphic that incorporates all the details of the Rig Vedic verse – but in static form. What was left to discover was the key to turn the lock and set the ‘carousel’ in motion. In a nutshell, this explains all of my work.
I must clarify another important aspect. I did not discover the Map by mental deduction after reading the RV verse. It was through the Name of three Greek letters and their number equivalents: 9, 5, 1. Later I came upon Sri Aurobindo’s translation of the Vishnu Verses in the Rig Veda and realised how exactly the Map gives us all the details of the 7th, 8th and 9th Avatars, confirmed by the Epics. Finally, at an even later stage, I read the RV verse above and that confirmed my discovery, the outcome of Yoga. The hallmark of Supermind – from truth to greater truth – is found in this series of events.
Who are we to believe, to follow? Is it the chaos of words that take us nowhere of Thomas/Varuna/White Serpent, or the documentation provided by the lives of the Vishnu Avatar and his helpers, as in the Solar and Lunar Lines of the new cosmology and everything that it has given birth to? That one circle laid across the globe to arrive at Capricorn/India by both latitude and longitude? (Add symbol-map) Or the measure of Ganga that replaces superstition with knowledge?
I believe we can close this topic now. The Siderealists, the Nirayanis et al, have been given a platform to express their views and theories. But not one has come close to what we may consider the goal of all science. Ultimately it is applicability.
The chaos I experienced in reading these recent postings is what afflicts India, and Hindus in particular: dozens of ayanamshas – no consensus, no clarity, no order. Most lamentably, this chaos is labeled freedom.
The Avatar has shown us the way. Should we be satisfied with anything less? Even Nikola Tesla agreed: 9/6/3/0-1.

ModeratorI want to give you all another example of an operation that is particular to the expression of the Knowledge at this third stage. It concerns this question of bringing down into this material creation of 9, what ‘exists’ in the subtle plane, or the creative plane of the physical, as the Mother calls it.
What I place before you has happened several times so there is a certain consistency. The first to be noted concerns TNW, Vols. 1&2. I always write my books and articles by hand before consigning them to the computer (or the typewriter in the old days as when I wrote all the volumes of TNW and most of my books). At a certain point I wrote to the effect that we have reached halfway, the 4.5 of this study. It just came naturally and was ‘known’ by the Knowledge I was capturing in the text, or giving to it the ‘body’ of the written word. This was in 1977. I did not intend to publish at all at that time.
As it turned out I did send it to press in 1979, but after the first attempt was foiled, it was finally printed in Canada. I then saw that indeed what I wrote was correct: that was the halfway point of TNW1&2. The evidence is available for anyone who has a copy. It needs to be noted that many diagrams were inserted only when the book went to press, long after the writing was over of the text. So, there was no way to know that the midway mark was reached – except through the Knowledge itself. We could say that the book already existed somewhere and therefore I could know. Perhaps.
The same thing happened with the second printing of TMC, when I wrote theCommentaries in 1979`. The latter was typeset at a different press than where TMC was being photographed and reprinted. As it turned out, the two volumes resulted exactly the same number of pages; if I recall one was 152, and the other was 153 (my birth numbers in fact). This sort of thing happens regularly at this stage because the physical is engaged and the harmony is extended all the way down to that level where earlier it had been ignored. Or at least not brought into the ambit of the transformation. Again, the book with its final body EXISTS. We are the instruments to give fix it on the physical plane. The latest book published, TTDV2, follows a similar pattern.

Moderator‘The Vedas were hidden in the depths of the ocean to keep them safe, the Puranas state. Mention was made of the Matsya/Fish Avatar in this context. I have pointed out that it was precisely when we entered the Age of Pisces and the beginning of the 9th Manifestation and the final round of the Precession that all this hiding and shadow-playing came to pass. If you look at these facts spherically and not linearly we understand the parable of the Vishnu Avatars differently. Those secrets hidden in the depths have to be brought to the surface again. That is the task set before the 9th.’
I believe mention of Matsya/Pisces was not explained properly for those who are not familiar with my earlier writings on this subject. It is important, and therefore I intend to clarify, because again we have a key to the manner in which the zodiac was used from the Vedic Age through the Puranic period – but today completely lost. In fact, that is the purpose of all the ‘hiding’ business. It helps us understand that the new myth tells us the same tale.
The 9th Manifestation consists of three zodiacal signs, Pisces, Aquarius and Capricorn. By the Precessional movement we first touch Pisces, the sign of the Fish, as the name implies. This occurred in 234 BCE, perhaps several hundred years after the arrival of Gautam the Buddha. Mention of the Buddha as a ‘ruse’ of the Supreme in order to distract the Asuras so they would not gain knowledge of the Veda, Matsya Avatar hides them in the ocean. Every time we reach Pisces in the movement of the astrological ages, something of this nature must come to pass. Ours times tells the story perfectly. It also reveals how TMC is that new myth because, as the story goes, Pisces is a water sign, hence the ‘ocean’ is appropriate; through TMC we learn (Chapter 12) that it is not just any ocean: it is the cosmic sea. One of the chapters I enjoyed writing the most was this one.
Both the Puranic tale and TMC are prophetic of precisely our times in India today. The Veda are preserved, and protected, in the cosmos – hidden there. Only through the proper poise gained through a certain initiation – the purification of the being to eliminate any shadows that would contaminate the Knowledge (veda) – can we SEE what would stand right before our eyes. The zodiac (in the cosmic sea or the ocean where Matsya hides the Knowledge) contains the Veda, if we know how to find it.
When certain Manifestations come about in the vast movements of Time the veils are lifted and that perennial knowledge is revealed once again. We are blessed to live in one of those very Manifestations when the Vishnu Avatar takes birth and along with his helpers the truth is retrieved from the depths.

Moderator‘…[W]hat man understands as will is a decision taken and carried out, and we are obliged to use the word ‘will’. But the will that operates in the universe is not in its truth the result of a choice or a decision taken. The expression that seems to me nearest to the reality is a ‘vision’.
‘Things are, because they are seen, spontaneously seen, not seen as with our eyes… yet it is all the same nearest; it is a vision, a vision that unfolds itself. The vision objectivises itself as it is being seen, and that is why Sri Aurobindo has said ‘intended or possible’. It is neither the one nor the other. All that one can say deforms it. The objectivisation, the universal objectivisation is something like a projection into space and time, as a living image of what is since all eternity, and as this image is projected on the screen of time and space it is objectified – the Supreme contemplates his own image’. (The Mother, Bulletin, Nov. 1957, pp. 135-137.)
Some time back in one of these topics of the Forum, I commented on the fact that the Yoga is experienced from three different angles in this pioneering stage; each one of the three contributes a different aspect of basically the same experience. During the night I was reading Book One of TTDV-2, and from pages 196 to 200 this aspect of the Work is brought forth. In that instance I was using Sri Aurobindo’s writings combined with mine to demonstrate how difficult it is for the reader or the seeker to understand that what he wrote, and I did a half a century later, was the very same experience but from two different angles of the Sacred Triangle of the Gnostic Circle. This is again made clear in the Mother’s description of the vision that unfolds as the best way to understand the ‘will’ operating in the universe, the true reality.
In posting this on the Forum my intention is to demonstrate to all of you just how far we have progressed since those early days; this is easily done in the above statement: what the Mother describes is the same as the new scientific paradigm where I noted how on the other side there is a compaction into the 0, a movement of contraction in quanta of triads. This would be the eternity (‘a living image of what is since all eternity’) she mentions. When that triadic compaction of 9, 6, 3 is complete, there is a reversal in the 0 and Time as encapsulated in 9 (future), 6 (past) and 3 (present), on this side of the Border begins the extension of itself; or, as the Mother put it, the Vision objectivises itself. If we replace Vision for the compacted 0 you can see how her description of Reality is the same as in the new cosmology, based on the formula 9, 6, 3, she and Sri Aurobindo left. If we then replace objectivisation for extension, the correlation is complete.
I must point out once again that this new cosmology uses a language – indeed, it gives birth to a NEW language – that better expresses that reality but in terms that seem anathema to spirituality of the traditional sort. Just the very fact that Time is mentioned goes against all spirituality as it has come down to us after passage through the Age of Pisces. Added to that is Number. While there are esoteric schools that do appreciate the value of Number as a legitimate part of the process, most spiritual seekers consider that this falls a rung lower on the scale from material to spiritual: ‘up there’ there is neither Time nor Number, they would sustain. This was one of the main arguments of the builders of the Matrimandir in my efforts to have them honour the Mother’s original vision and plan. My ‘interpretations’ were all mental and therefore they could not be real: reality is above all that – indeed, as their mentor sustained, the Divine is above centimetres. Once Number was brought in my efforts could be rejected as ‘all mental’. It was a convenient excuse because the plan I was promoting in place of the architect’s was the Mother’s. She was the one who introduced Number (as well as geometry) into the equation, not Patrizia.
The problem resides in what the Mother called the New Precision. I will hunt out the passages in the Agenda where she discusses this new manifestation in depth. And this is what the New Cosmology adds to the Supramental Manifestation: a new precision. Likewise, for this reason she noted that the Third Thing was beyond both science and spirituality. The two, as we have inherited them from passage through Pisces, promote a ‘fuzziness’ that could be considered a great accomplishment in the old spirituality. It is equated with the Freedom one strives for – but a freedom from what? In the old ways it was and remains freedom from the confines of material creation. In other words, the escape route offered the practitioner a means to avoid dealing with what a creation in Matter imposes: measure and hence number and all the rest. It was easier to call it illusion and climb as high as one could, to that extreme etherisation which was thought to carry onebeyond time and space. This was the freedom that was sought. Everything bounded by time and space was the trap Eve sets before human beings. The Judeo-Christian and other mid-Eastern religions cemented the escape by positing ‘heaven’ as the ultimate goal in the beyond.
Nothing of what was thought to be the highest religious achievement could be bound by time and space as per our experience in the material universe.
Indian spirituality followed suit with its own home-made brand of ‘temptation’ and entire philosophies and systems of yoga evolved to legitimise this escape. In the Vedic Age and the texts that have reached us from those remote times, there is no hint of legitimising such an escape. Consequently, this ‘paganism’ or ‘nature worship’ was condemned, but strangely India clung to that paganism and made it, the Veda, the foundation of all that was to follow, even without understanding most of it! This is because the peoples of the subcontinent are essentially soul-based. In the soul the ultimate truth can be perceived, known. But for some 2000 years the escape held sway. Therefore Sri Aurobindo explained in a letter to the Mother in 1914 that the experience she related was Vedic in the truest sense, but that none of the present schools of yoga would recognise it as such.
Fast-forward to the third stage of the Manifestation and perhaps the most important aspect of this level of the Work as we are demonstrating in this website is that it indicates just how far the reversal of direction has been successful. True, very few can understand and appreciate these words and realise their profound meaning, but, as the Mother stated in 1958: The victory will be for the most enduring (quoted on page 220 of TTDV-2, Book One). The fact that we use those very cosmic principles of time and space to express the highest truths is what tells us that the work is done. That highest has made itself known, experienced, measured – here on Earth. The goal set for Sri Aurobindo has been fulfilled.
On this ACC website the service we can offer visitors is to place before them as pure an example as possible of the New Way. The objective is not to offer a platform to those who have no understanding of the difference between the new and the old. There are seekers out there who would very much like to learn of the New Way undiluted or uncontaminated by the Old. Those who seek to reinforce the old paths have the whole world out there to present their views. Ours is a platform, perhaps the only one, where no mixture is to be found. The Mother insisted on this condition regarding the city-consciousness she was setting on its way when the time had come for the Supramental Yoga to take up centre stage. The purity we seek is made more difficult in contemporary society where to be ‘broadminded’ and ‘secular’ or free of dogma and ‘open to debate/dialogue’ is a trap to divert seekers from the new future, the path to which we are in the process of opening. Those who are attracted to the New Way should be aware of these attempts to weaken one’s resolve.
The Mother spoke of the inner chamber of her vision as a place to learn to concentrate. This is precisely my point: every effort is made by the Old Consciousness to stop the movement forward into the New, overtly or covertly. The easiest way to do this is to disperse energy with these tempting diversions, giving them high-sounding names to confuse seekers. The concentration of energy required in this Supramental Yoga is colossal. In particular, the material vessel that must receive the new energies in descent in this Age of Aquarius, as it presently stands cannot receive and contain the power. It is shattered by the intensity of vibration of the new power. This too is recorded in the new cosmology. I presented diagrams of energy densification in my last posts; that is, when the Mother talked of densification to the disciple she made it clear that it was not to be confused with greater heaviness or thickness. In other words, she was describing thisdensification of vibration from 0 to 9, or the fullest potential of the scale in our Age. But for that to occur the physical vessel must be transformed. The issue is, once more, how do we go about it?
All is consciousness, we agree. Therefore as we widen the vision, expand our capacity of perception or focus the lens as I sometimes call it, there has to be a repercussion on the physical. There is no magical mantra that is going to cut the labour short. It is an effort TO SEE IN UNDERSTANDING. Few of you realise how this works, how your energies are being concentrated more and more to finally reach the point where you do not lean, where you stand as beneath the midday Sun casting no shadows. That alone indicates that not only must the supreme effort be made to avoid mixture (or dispersal by distraction), but the lens has to focussed inward, to the centre, and not out to the Beyond. This has nothing to do with broadmindedness, the ability to ‘tolerate’ all, to embrace all paths as ‘leading to Rome’, because all paths do not take us in the direction demanded in this New Age. But I also realise that these entries in our website are many years ahead of time; but not because of that should we stop offering the New Way to the public in this new format. We must simply bear in mind that almost everyone accessing the site has been milked on either the old spirituality or the orthodox, exclusivist religions of the Piscean Age. It is likely to take a long time for these postings to be understood. Indeed, we must endure. How many have the patience required?

ModeratorThea, you were talking with us last evening about the journey of The Magical Carousel – and there are a few points I will note here – perhaps you can expand on them and/or clarify them further…
The Magical Carousel is the Vedic myth – updated. All myth changes – myth is a cultural construct essentially – giving us a common way to see and understand the world we live in. You said that Sri Aurobindo and you REINSTATED the Vedic Myth/journey – which has become totally lost in today’s culture, in India. “We are bringing it up to date for the Supramental Age. Sri Aurobindo wrote an Epic – Savitri; I wrote a Myth, naturally because myth comes from the soul. As the third in the Solar Line, this is where the myth arises and is lived. Both have the 12 stages as the backbone of the story.”
I asked you about the Capricorn initiation – in one of your replies in the Forum you said the essence of this experience was/is the discovery of simultaneous time. Is that something we also can expect in our journey through Capricorn? You noted that there were many planes symbolised in this chapter… the children rise from one to the next and the culmination is in the mountain cave. These planes are the various stages of purification of the self – such as in Integral Yoga. Also you expect that the initiation we go through would not be as painful…
You also commented that the story was as if projected in your mind’s eye – you saw it very clearly before you. That particular centre (the third eye) is no longer as active in you – the source of your seeing now is elsewhere.
The children are going to the Sun… instead of Saturn… that’s the first clue that it is a Vedic journey.
Yes, it is true that Sri Aurobindo wrote the Epic of the Age. He based it on the ancient tale of Savitri and Satyavan. As the Avatar of Vishnu he simply followed the pattern set by the 7th and 8th. India’s two epics, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata preserve what was important to hand down to future ages about the 7th and 8th Avatars of Vishnu. No one disputes their avatarhood, or that they were the 7th and 8th in the Line. And these numbers figure prominently in their Epics. Problems arose when the 9th Manifestation set in. This would appear to have been deliberate – and indeed, the Purana describe the Buddha as a ‘ruse’ to divert the Asuras who were in search of the Veda, to draw them away from the Veda.
The Vedas were hidden in the depths of the ocean to keep them safe, the Puranas state. That is the task set before the 9th.
Sri Aurobindo used the tale to convey his own process of Yoga by which he would fulfil his mission. Still those who swear by Savitri have much to learn of its hidden meaning. Be that as it may, we are concerned with the shape of things at this third stage where we stand at present. We do build on the former two stages, but certainly a demarcation was crossed when the third stage began: we moved from the Old Creation to the New. It is is simple as that.
In this light it is understandable that the contours of this stage are startling for the most part. The language used is most unspiritual (see next post). It will be satisfying only to those who by destiny are meant to follow the process of transformation into the new future – indeed, an entirely NEW future. There are no models to turn to in order to understand this New Way.
That is precisely the point: the New Way brings its own ‘science’, in the sense that one cannot seek confirmation beyond what has been established for the Supramental Manifestation; if that were not the case, could it qualify as ‘new’? In 1962, shortly after her monumental encounter with Death, the Mother spoke to her entourage regarding the task set before the Avatar in this Manifestation, that it would not be one avatar but a series, a line in time, she stated, or a line in space – or both. She knew that all the bases had to be covered for the full transformation to be accomplished and that in the lifetime of only one, it would not be possible. In The New Way 1-3, exactly what the Mother foresaw is described, based on the new cosmology that has evolved out of this unique descent. And yet Volumes 1 and 2 were destroyed at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram Press, though the Mother’s own words confirmed the correctness of what was written in that series to the letter.
In such incidences we are faced with the condition of the human consciousness and exactly what we need to deal with: we may proclaim one thing but our untransformed consciousness-being displays another. The human species is burdened with a very heavy baggage from the Piscean Age. But souls have taken birth, as the Mother explained in another remarkable insight in 1967, for this stage of the Work. They come far less burdened.
TMC can have appeal to those unburdened souls more than the others – that is, the youth spread here and there across the globe. The only problem is that they too must grow amidst the Old. There is no escape since the field is only one – this Earth we inhabit. We must establish the new consciousness right here and within the play of circumstances as they stand today; I would add using them for the purpose of transformation. This can be done; we are doing it all the time. This describes the stage of our endeavour where we are obliged to use thenegative as well as the positive to serve the purposes of the One.
To give an example, the youth today is conditioned by the untransformed world we live in. I describe it cosmologically as the world of an untransformed Mars. Thus instead of the heroism Mars embodies and the capacity to face challenges victoriously as in sports for example, we witness the opposite in an increasing display of an almost senseless violence. I am not at all advocating non-violence, especially of the brand we know today. In the midst of this untransformed world, we are constrained to respond to challenges on the basis of the known methods – that is the untransformed display of those Mars energies – for a while longer at least.
TMC is the new myth because it speaks to the new youth born to express something else. It speaks to all the planes of consciousness-being in a new way. Myths are entertaining; they always were, they always will be. In today’s world we know what ‘entertainment’ means: more and more violence. The increase of crash-bang-boom ‘entertainment’ is astonishing. How far is this to go? Because it is a fact that the vital feeds off all of this; the more you feed it, the more it demands. And the pitch must increase constantly to offer satisfaction. The same with sex. There was a contemporary guru who taught his followers to indulge as much as they liked to lessen desire. You can be sure that he gained a huge following! Anyone who has studied the matter knows that this is not the way to decrease anything; it only creates the demand for more and more. And yet, suppression is also not the way. Voilà, a conundrum…
How to engage the vital in an entertaining way without feeding these monsters? In TMC we find that the vital is thoroughly engaged. There is entertainment through adventure but never threatening to the point of needing to call forth a violent response. If TMC were ever to see its true ‘form’ materialised – that is in film – entertainment is a must; but there is anew way to achieve that; furthermore, the soul is evoked constantly and the reader/viewer sees him or herself projected in the experiences of the children, the tale’s main protagonists, as if in one’s own journey.
As the Third in the Line where the soul comes into play as contributing to the triadic manifestation, it is only natural that I should bring about the new myth. TMC is a prophetic journey – as I began to take up my work I realised it was foretelling the experiences I would have as well as the contours of the Knowledge I would bring down. But being the embodiment of that third ingredient, the soul as repository of one’s destiny is extended to all souls. The journey is universal. All one has to do is to penetrate those hidden chambers and embarkconsciously in the transformation of those recalcitrant Mars energies. The Vedic myth/journey describes the same experience. We can access it through the language of the zodiac, universal and eternal. This is the supreme aid that has been given to the human species; it is shaped according to the cultural accretions of each Age, but the essence remains always the same. It is interesting to note how vehemently this universal language is attacked in India today – and yet it is woven throughout the Rig Veda! That is the objective of an initiatic tongue such as Sanskrit: its many levels can hide or disclose the meaning of what the single word contains.
Regarding the Capricorn initiation as described in TMC, you have to see it in connection with the experiences the children undergo in its opposite sign on the wheel, Cancer. The Queen of Night, as the personification of the sign Cancer, is directly related to Omanisol of Capricorn. However, in the lower hemisphere (comprised of the first six signs) there is no attempt to be rid of what those beguiling displays of the Queen represent, or to transform them. Rather, she feeds those needs we carry within; and in so doing pins the children down to her lower realm – the realms beneath the horizon or the first six stages of the journey. As I have stated elsewhere, the only objective of the forces hostile to the attainment of the ultimate goal of the Journey is to stop the movement. The meaning is that if the journey is allowed to continue, inevitably the higher goal is reached because time irrevocably MOVES ON, and has but one evolutionary objective: to reach the 10th stage and the Victory. This is the destiny of our species.
On the other hand, when we do manage to overcome the enticements the lower hemisphere offers and free ourselves from Inertia, we enter the higher hemisphere at the service of a Higher Cause, as the myth explains. Then it is a question of transforming those energies to place them, precisely, at the service of the Higher Cause. Then at the summit we reach the abode of Omanisol, the higher compliment of the Queen of Night.
The amazing part of TMC is what the 10th chapter/land reveals, and it was entirely prophetic: it was the revelation of Simultaneous Time as expressed in the images the children see in the mountain-chamber. This was a story projected in my mind’s eye, between the eyebrows, indeed like a film. But being mythic in essence, of course it was prophetic of the knowledge contained in the soul and available to anyone who is able to ‘enter that chamber’ once having passed successfully the initiation ‘within the mountain’.
That pathway has been opened for others to follow, but as I noted in our discussion, it certainly does not have to be as hard as what I experienced. In the first place, such experiences are the point of convergence of the totality of conditions at any given time; therefore they will necessarily be different for each individual. The scope of that ‘totality’ is determined by the worlds embraced by the central consciousness. In my case, as a part of the Solar Line the scope was large enough to serve as a pioneering experience, a breakthrough happening as prophesied in the first chapter/land, Aries: the Ram of Golden Horns who crashes through all and any barrier at the very start of the journey. But it is also explained in the chapter that due to unforeseen and unexpected circumstances, the light to open the path had to be taken up by the children. Once opened it cannot be closed – but it can be ignored, up to a point.
Simultaneous Time (ST) is one aspect of the Knowledge in the Mountain. There is also Whole Time. The two are envisaged in the symbol of the Sun, the circle with a central point. Whole time is the circle, the periphery – in other words, the horizontal spread, as it were. ST is the vertical implant in the Point. Examples of the operation abound. I have given one on this Forum, the discovery of the last triad of planets: whole time would be the temporal boundary of the unveiling. That is, from 1782 to 1930. No gnostic sense can be made of the discovery of Uranus disconnected from whole time – that is, the connected discovery of the other two planets. That would be the temporal periphery of the discoveries, which is an integral experience of our solar system: it too functions on the basis of the essential trinity, as all of material creation does. One’s consciousness has to operate spherically and see Time in this comprehensive manner. If we move along and notch up each sighting disconnected from what follows, we understand nothing. This is the experience of ST in a nutshell. One’s consciousness is centred; a new alignment has been attained whereby from that central position we have a view of the entire periphery of the circle: whole time allows for ST. The issue is to raise one’s consciousness-being to a higher position on the ladder of perception and from there one is able to see Whole Time because it already exists, it already IS. ST is not the ability to know the past and the future as one readily imagines. It is far more advanced than that: it is a new faculty that has never been known to our species as it presently stands today, in this particular round of the Great Circle. Certainly it was known and experienced in very ancient times. But, so what? In what way is that related to what we can achieve today? Those texts can serve as reminders of what we can attain.
We return always to the central premise of the New Way: applicability. The examples I provide from time to time indicate that we can truly understand the harmony only when we realise that ST and WT are within the reach of the species; but it has to shed baggage! That is what the Capricorn initiation is about: baggage shedding – and this covers many levels and layers of both individual and collective consciousness. Our society is rapidly being put through the Initiation to shed baggage. For now this includes its moral structure. Breakthroughs in the hitherto accepted norms are being attacked, broken down, taxing our notions of what is good and right and morally acceptable. This is not done to cement those perceived extremes as the new structure of society, but rather just to clear the cobwebs away. Nothing more. What will come to replace the old forms remains to be seen. TMC provides an insight into what exactly that might be. For starts, a new way of Love is on the cards. That much I can state for certain.

ModeratorI will respond shortly, but I really would like to know why I am not getting a notice of your (and other) postings on this subject?

ModeratorI am still working on all this – on the question of the role of the physical body. As you know, I never speculate but rather I wait for the lived experience to come – then it clarifies many things at once because enlightenment in the New Way occurs by convergence: it is a circular movement that brings into the orbit of one’s experience the entire periphery which by then is harmonised.
Last year with everything that happened physically brought me close to the answer – not necessarily in terms of densification but certainly regarding the complete control of the Power over illness of even the most potentially fatal sort. This has nothing to do with a sort of miraculous healing. It is not that at all. What I experienced was what Sri Aurobindo engaged in in full consciousness when he left his body. History notes that he regularly came out of the ‘coma’ he was in, asked the time, and then went back in! It was supposed to be last stages of uremia and once he went into that coma he was never supposed to emerge. Well, when the appointed time arrived, he left. Other circumstances that surrounded his actual departure need not detain us here. The point is that I was also carried along to the brink of death in a totally ‘controlled’ process which many of you experienced with me. In view of all that one has to ask what the real nature of illness is if it can be manipulated in this fashion to play a particular role.
My sense is that there is still very much to learn in all this concerning the role of the physical in the transformative process. This is truly a new path we are opening up; the Mother set us on this path with the work she did on the Body – for me it was always the cosmic body, not confined to her physical but necessary if we were to continue individually thereafter. That is where we stand.
As for your specific question, yes the answers will be found in the Gnostic Circle because it covers all four levels of being, down to the physical, in its division into four quarters. But the precise formula, if there is to be one, has not been revealed – yet. It will come, if it is meant to be revealed, when it will be needed to serve the purpose it needs to serve.More than that I cannot say for now. Let’s see where this leads…

ModeratorWhen we move into the dimension of ‘no form’ we have actually reached the finest energy of Time. That is, we have reached and experienced the purest manifestation of Time, of ‘pure Time’.
All work on Matter must be a work done with Time, for matter, as we know it, is really the densification of Time. A human body is actually a conglomerate of time-experience. This is the power of a horoscope: it shows the ‘Time Measure’ of an individual, or an event or a thing. For this theGnostic Circle takes into consideration the whole species, and the power of Number.
It is here that work on consciousness becomes necessary, because the only manner in which we can really alter the experience of Time – which then creates a modification in the denser manifestation of itself, which is matter – is in the realm of consciousness. Time is the motor force of consciousness. All is consciousness. Out of consciousness arises the power of Time, which is the binding energy that densifies consciousness, and from this forms arise of the many myriad levels we know.
Each experience of a widening of consciousness must bring with it a variation in the destiny of an individual, because this must invariably have an effect of the time-experience of the person’s body. Why have people in the past failed to alter their destiny in any concrete way has been that they have failed to take the time-experience of the body into consideration. They believed that by withdrawing the consciousness it was possible to alter conditions. But the fact is that the body is made of the same consciousness-time energy; hence, in order to release that from the laws which bind it to a particular dimension of experience, the same effort at a change of consciousness must come about. The question arises: How to carry out the work? (from The Tenth Day of Victory, Vol. 2, Book One, p.80-81)
This is an entry in my journal dated 12 June 1975, exactly 40 years ago and long before I had read the Mother’s mention of ‘densification’ rather than etherification regarding aspects of the supramentalised body; her discussion with the disciple itself took place 14 years prior to my own 1975 experience (see earlier comment in this Forum). I included this entry in my recently-published autobiographical study The Tenth Day of Victory, Volume 2, Book One (Aeon Books 2015), launched at our exhibition in New Delhi in January last entitled The Future Realisation. This means that 55 years after this topic arose in the context of supramentalisation of the body in The Mother’s Agenda, 1961, it surfaces again in our Forum through my journal entries. It is time to penetrate more deeply into questions that arise regarding the denser substance of Matter.
That exhibition, The Future Realisation, for the first time brought the Mother’s original vision and architectural plan to the public which she drew up of an Inner Chamber that was never constructed; through that exhibition ACC revealed what she referred to as, precisely, the future realisation. Her remarkable achievement in sacred geometry and architecture has been entirely ignored – and even suppressed – in the Ashram she and Sri Aurobindo created, in order to hide from the public that in Auroville where she had expected it to be the centrepiece of the township, the architects altered the vision to what it is now: a shadow of the original. I mention this because the title of the exhibition is the key the Mother left to this question of densification. In this section of ACC’s website we will seek to explore much more deeply these questions.
